Amundsen shuffle mode

Featured Replies

I have an SD card full of music (mostly organised in album folders, but with single tracks too) which works perfectly well in shuffle mode randomly selecting album tracks or singles as it should. The problem I have, is that if I want to hear the next song on an album, I have to turn off shuffle mode, which is fine, but then if I turn shuffle mode on after that, it will only shuffle between tracks on that album. I can select another album by selecting on the touchscreen but it will still only shuffle the album I choose. The only way I have found to go back to shuffling all tracks is to remove the SD card and insert again. It's the same with music on USB too. Maybe I'm being stupid but does anyone else have this problem or know how to 'fix' it?

BTW, I don't have the manual for it to look at either as the dealer gave me the wrong paperwork for the car and it took months to even get the correct service book/instruction manual for the car.

You can download a PDF of the manual, or access the manual via the App on a smartphone.

Anyone?

I think the shuffle or repeat mode works on whatever level in the folders you turn it on at. So you need to go up in the folders - maybe up to the top level - before hitting the shuffle button again. Worth a try?

As said by TDIum, click on "selection" (bottom center button on the screen) then click on SD card (on mine I have to click two times) to show up a line of icons including shuffle, repeat, scan. Click on shuffle and it will apply to the whole SD card.

I had a look at it this morning and the selection button is the one! Problem solved, thanks guys. That one was pretty annoying.

I hate my new Amundsen, it's a step back from the old Amundsen in my old mk2, just navigating around albums is a nightmare due to the above issue of it wanting to constantly shuffle tracks/albums. volume wise it runs out of steam very quickly and often find myself having the volume on full and it's still not enough! and when on full there appears to be an auto eq function happening and cuts bass drastically.my old mk2 had oodles of bass and volume (although the speakers were in the wrong place), at least they got that right in the mk3! and worst of all NO CD player, WTF, most annoying thing ever!!

What's a CD :wonder:
