Ambient Lighting/dome light colours?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've got a Fabia with the standard dome light, which doesn't have the backlighting for the buttons or the two spotlight ambient LEDs. Apparently some Superb Mk.1s which have the same size cutout in the headliner have a unit with that backlighting, but what colours are the lights? My parents have a Mk.2 Superb with green backlighting and white ambient lighting, which is what I'd like.

This is the light unit I'm talking about, but with red lighting from a Passat. If necessary I can change the LEDs to green and white ones, but obviously if I can find one with green lighting already then that's a lot easier!

VW Passat version: 3B7 947 105 F

Skoda Superb version: 3U0 947 105

You probably want 2EN for the colour code.

The VW (red) version is quite common, the Skoda (green) version is much more rare :)

Cool, I'll try and find some breakers then! Is it all green then the lighting?

Oh and do you know which trims had the light fitted? I presume it's the more upmarket ones and not standard across the range?

I think you perhaps mean the Skoda (green) version is more exclusive!

I know the Passat W8 did which is why is commonly called the W8 mod. Not sure which models of the Superb did.

As for the lighting, the switches will be illuminated in green but the two down lights are still red.

There are plenty of new VW versions on aliexpress, although they seem to have another part number: 3BD 947 105.

Heh, something like that ;)

AliExpress has some green Skoda ones too! Little bit more expensive but I think that's worth it. Thanks for all your help!
