Hi , I have a 2007 roomster 1.9tdi , with a broken crankshaft , will a crankshaft from a 2004 1.9tdi fit my engine , as a friend has a good one ?

Hi,i really don't know , I keep her well serviced , she has 110.000 miles , on the way to work , it started to sound rough , so dropped the clutch and coasted to a halt , bought bearings , got to it just to find the cracked crankshaft , I have a mechanic friend , who has a couple of crankshaft , one of a 2004 model and one of a 2008 twin cam model . He is going to double check my car first , incase I'm imagining things , so , in short , I don't know and hope one of his cranks fit , I would hat to lose the car
