Saving/backing up Text Messages

Featured Replies

I have a Moto G (3 gen) running Android 6, and want to save text messages. How do I do it, what's the best app to use? I don't have any cloud storage and am having trouble with the SD card, but do have email (gmail). Does backing it up via email make any difference when restoring it again?

SMS backup and restore. Sync it to your drive, then restore on the new phone.

Does SMS, MMS & call logs.

There are vast number of SMS backup apps like SMS Backup+, Super Backup, SMS Backup & Restore, copy the backup, then restore it on the new phone.

To answer my question/thread, I successfully used SMS Backup+ to back and restore Texts.
