Move and Fun app

I picked up my new Citigo 3Dr 1.0 MPI 75 SE L ASG on 20th December and was really pleased ............... initially!

The following day I had to drive to Newcastle from Kent then back down to Leeds, so following the instructions from the Salesman, I installed the Move and Fun app over wifi in the showroom and installed the UK maps on my own Wi-Fi once home. Once installed I changed some of the parameters as advised and thought all would be fine the next day.

Well, I programmed in my journey (a bit of a faff compared with other apps) and set off. OMG, it took me all around the houses just to get to the Dartford crossing (instructions which I didn't follow) and then once on the M1 (the quickest route) it tried numerous times to take me off and put me onto "A" roads (something I have not asked for in the settings - didn't tick avoid motorways) and whilst I had the HTC fully charged before I set off AND I connected it to the USB hub in the car to keep it fully charged the phone RAN OUT OF BATTERY after FOUR hours of driving! Never before has this happened with any other navigation app (with Bluetooth turned on). I was horrified!

I turned the navigation off and the Bluetooth and just used the USB to charge the phone (which seemed to take an age  - usually fully charged after 4 hours in old Citigo, and after 3 hours in the new car the phone was only 28% charged!). I had to use the iPhone for the rest of the journey using google navigation.

I must say that I am VERY disappointed with this app.

Anyone have any idea of how one can use it without exhausting the battery even when connected and charging via the USB behind the cradle? I'll be contacting the garage when I get back to the UK (on holiday at the mo).

To get the maps. Open the app. Go to the second screen and you will see settings. In the settings go to MAPS and then you get a long list of maps available. HINT: do this at home on your wifi as they are BIG files.
