Windshield circles phenomena

Featured Replies

Seems condensation brought up two weird circles on the interior of my windshield. Cleaning up the surface doesn't seem to help, is the windshield damaged or what's going on? Mind you, this is brand new car ...

Here some pics:

Mine has the same I thought it was how it had been fitted how weird..... mine too has been cleaned but no diff once misted up they appear.

Believe it is the factory equipment that lifts the screen into place that leaves those marks

Poor quality control at the producing factory.

Also had it on my golf, have it on my superb too.

Disturbing :)

It has nothing to do with poor quality. It´s from the factory when the windscreen was fitted. Watch the "production of Skoda Superb" video on Youtube, and you´ll see.

Aren't these just suction cup marks, requiring some rubbing with IPA or similar de-greaser to go away?!

suction marks from the machinery when fitted.

Just needs a proper clean.

Interesting. What can I use to really clean those marks?

Our 13 year old Seat Leon still has those circles on the rear windscreen.

Are you insinuating they cannot be cleaned up at all? :|

Try alcohol/meths

1st world problems...........

What about this on my Octavia 230, visible when the screen mists up

I haven't specifically tried to get rid of them, but all the cleaning of the windscreen hasn't got rid of them. They only show up under light condensation, so aren't a problem.

You can have red manual ones...

Or blue ones, you choose!

FFS just clean the screen.

Poor quality control at the producing factory.

The Misterons are after you Captain Danny 57!

You can clean them off with a damp cloth and a knob of tooth paste the fine abrasive in the tooth paste will not damage your windscreen it will clean the sucker marks off

Also good for getting road scum off the outside when your wipers don't clear screen do this before changing your blades

Change the blades every six months to avoid damaging outer windscreen
