Checking the oil on my 10 month old vrs fabia last week I noticed that the coolant level had dropped about 10 mm below the min mark,I had previousley topped it up

when it was about 2 months old and was'nt unduly worried, thinking that it may just have settled down, but this time I thought a phone call to the dealers may be prudent.on explaing my concerns to the sevice guy ,I was told that" they all do that",when pressed further, I was told to bring the car in so that they could give it a once over, the coolant system was pressure tested and a rad hose was found to have a very slight leak ,I asked if that was enough to cause that much of a drop in coolant over a few months and recieved the explanation that it could evaporate in that period:confused:

Now ,I am not slagging the dealer, they did what they could in a polite and efficient manner,I could not really ask any more at this stage, its just the comments

like that make me feel like the urine is being taken or am I just being fussy:(

The cooling system is "Sealed for Life" meaning that it should rarely if ever need topping up by us. The only time the cap on the tank should need removing is when the coolant is being renewed. You have a itsybitsy leak somewhere, although as its so tiny it maybe impossible to find.

I never needed to add any coolant to my octy vrs in 4 years of ownership.

Same with mine in 4 and a half years, never needed a drop.
