1.9 PD AWX Engine - Difference Between Oil Levels on Dipstick

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have looked on the internet, owners manual and this forum to try to find out the difference in liters (or less) of the marking on the engine oil dipstick on the above engine on my Skoda Superb Mk1.

I cant seem to find it.

Is anyone able to advise what the difference are for the whole dipstick and between the lower dots and the upper dots on the dipstick please?

Best Regards and Happy New Year in advance,

Ben

Anyone able to help please?

From my experience of topping up on my old Passat, the difference is about 1 ltr.

As above- I'd say about a litre although on my 1.9 pd 100 (2003) from when I  bought it (23k miles , 18 months old) it always seemed to burn oil quickly from the top mark of the dipstick to about halfway but thereafter use very little. Remained like this for a further 140k miles/ 10 years in my ownership (a friend owns it now and it's still going strong)
