Can anyone provide me with the correct part number for the boot release/micro switch for the hatch vrs. Year is 2007. The problem is a very intermittent opening. Ten presses only triggers it once. Works fine off remote. I've also read about the possibility of a ccm fault but as i have no other issues with the central locking I'm going to swap the switch first.

Have you asked a Skoda dealer?

Not a lot of point in doing that. Many dealers won't give part numbers out, and a lot of parts can be found on ebay by simply typing in a part number. Have ordered many parts myself that way.

Ian, part number is 1Z0 827 574 C, current price £21.24 plus VAT at the dealers.

Funny enough no i didn't. As it was early morning and searching online on my break i didn't think the skoda dealer would be open at 2am!! And as Mike mentioned they won't give you any part numbers.

I'm having a bad week so don't take my comment personally.

Incidentally my dealer does give out part numbers, obviously I cannot name them, however if at first you fail try another Skoda/VAG group dealer, they share the same computer system.

No problem buddy no offence taken. I actually don't use my Skoda dealer for reasons i won't go into i either look on fleabay ( hence the P/N request ) or TPS and my local TPS definately don't give out numbers.

There is another option - replace it with a rear camera type.....................

If it's the same on a 2012 car I have the original one as I fitted a camera.

Next request. I may as well use the same thread!! Can anyone provide me with the p/n for the rear bump stops. Both mine look past it. 07 vrs hatch.

Mike, just a query about the alignment being out after removing the shocks. Was there a possibility it was out before you removed them? I can't see how that would affect the track.

Ok Mike no problem. It looks like I'll have to factor in an alignment to do that job.

Just a quick search on ebay I'm finding a lot with a matching p/n but with a B at the end. Are these the same?
