Hi all, I'd like some advice on a performance exhaust for my Monte. I had a back box delete done a little while ago with a ppwerflow single exit twin pipe, but considering something with a but more performance and sound profile, possibly a sports cat, not sure about deleting the dpf though (jury's out for me on that one). Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Richie, you are right to be wary of dpf delete. It does make your car illegal for road use without one.  It can currently be picked up on an Mot in some circumstances too although many currently are not. However, with the new changes to the Mot which are due to come in late 2018 there will be a full gas analysis of your diesel engine, not just smoke etc, so it will definitely be picked up then. So it's just not worth doing that. Regarding the rest of the exhaust system, there are lots of options but you will need to take advice from folks who have done that. I'm tech and design based background rather than a fettler. You sound very responsible to take advice. Good luck with what you want to do.
