rear wiper option in maxidot

Featured Replies

anyone have any idea what this option does in the maxidot? i.e. the tick box next to rear wiper under lights and vision.

i dont have the option in my maxidot but have seen it in other cars and also wonder if its a vcds option.

Is it if you have the front wipers on and you select reverse the rear wiper should automatically  wipe the rear screen.

Isn't it just on the estate?

It is possibly just the estate but I have no idea.

My estate does it - with the front wiper on whether it be intermediate / continuous as soon as I engage reverse gear the rear wiper swipes.

It's not the wipe I'm after it's the option in maxidot.

OK, found it - it's in the handbook page 55

Automatic rear window wiper (Combi)

If the windscreen wiper switch is in position 2 or 3 (slow or fast) the rear wiper operates every 30 seconds (fronts on slow) or every 10 seconds (fronts on fast) if the vehicle speed is higher than 5kmh. This auto function is activated/deactivated by the Settings/lights and vision/rear wiper option in maxidot. The auto function is independent of any rain sensor as it requires the front wipers to be on continuous slow or fast mode.

So not available on yours, as it's an estate thing only.............sorry!

Mike

Problem solved. Thanks mike. Move on to the next part of the project.
