I eventually attached mine to the glovebox, not ideal on paper but it works very well. It was hard to find somewhere to fit a large phone (iPhone plus) without blocking something or loosing the cup holders IMG_1947.JPG

Thanks for heads on this. Bought one and works a treat. Also got a black right angled lighting lead off eBay so looks nice and neat.

Best phone solution I've seen by miles

I can strongly recommend "Scosche" Phone mounts, very discrete and have a very good mount to the phone or window.

You'll find people in Ferrari's and Mclarens using them too.
