Motorised boot closure not working

Featured Replies

More and more often my boot isn't closing properly. It opens fine, then when I close it it is sitting on the latch. The motorised "grab and shut" doesn't engage. It's getting to become a mighty pain!

The cars under the Skoda Approved used warranty so I'll get it booked in but is there anything that I can do in the meantime to try and fix?

Not sure but think there was a mod for this which meant abit of tape around the striker part....forgive me if wrong info..brain not what it used to be ????

Hi Chris

I've just fixed the wiring coming out the twin boot

The loom from the boot into the left side of the rear window

My boot wouldn't shut properly we re soldered all the wires

Search twin door problems on here it's very helpful

It's a £1000 loom to replace or they have a kit to fix it thanks skoda I done it myself with some help of a friend

Hope this helps

Or could it be something like that rubber sealing around the boot could be misaligned? Mine was misaligned in the lower part, the boot would close properly though but the rubber sealing just sat like ****.

Mine was boot microswitch needed replacement cost about 59euro
