Large bore intake hose

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a question about this: http://www.regalautosport.com/shop/large-bore-intake-hose-for-mqb-20tfsi-engines-golf-mk7-gti-mk7-r-8v-s3-octavia-vrs-seat-leon-cupra.html

It's quite popular with golf 7 GTI and R owners over at vwroc, as apparently our engine has quite a narow turbo inlet as well as the hose itself.

So I'd just like to check if anyone tried it, and if so, how was the fit and is the oem filter box flexible enough with the pipe?

Can't use search for some reason, says I don't have the permissions.

Thanks!

Oh and I'm interested in Octy 3 owners :)

im using the vwr inlet pipe which replaces the old 90 degree pipe. Its doing basically the same thing. When you compare the two youll notice the difference.

I upgraded a few things at the same time, so I cant say the exact change it made on its own. However if you take a look at the vwr website they have graphs showing the flow increase they give.

Its a pretty good upgrade.

Thanks John_20v

Any issues with lack of flexibility of the vwr pipe?

I've got the vwr pipe connected to a ramair hose which then goes to the airbox.

Perfect fit.

Alright thanks for the info. I'm stuck between turbotechnics and vwr. I'll report if or when I bite the bullet :)
