Asus laptop

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Does anyone know a reliable site where I can get one of these in silver?

https://www.asus.com/uk/Notebooks/ASUS-ZenBook-UX305CA/

I'm not much of a fan of black laptops for some reason

Cheers

Nice laptop.

Beware the silver ones if using in public. Not uncommon for them to go walkies thinking they are mac's.

It's on my lowpower list; as is the 310, although I push my laptops hard if developing... currently exploring using a chromebook and remote server.

The other option is to get a cover or a wrap cover, makes the black less black :) Or just get loads of stickers ;)

Thanks for that.....Well really anything but black.

The only ones I can find with 256 storage are all black

Colin I think I would almost certainly loose any SD cards!! It wouldn't be out in public much anyway so that shouldn't be an issue. Just worried that 128 might not be enough storage.

I've thought that about 256 options, and trying to keep space clear. I've got a lot of stuff in the cloud now with selective sync on smaller devices via dropbox. MS cloud works too if you're purely windows, I run linux so... not quite there yet.

And I just remembered/spotted you're in Ireland... mind you you're almost back to it being cheaper to buy here than there. I remember my uncles mates buying cars in the uk and getting the ferry back, was cheaper, way back when.

I might just buy an external hard drive as well. It still seems way cheaper to buy in the UK and have it delivered to the Parcel Motel in the North. ohhh I remember the days when cars were on a parity with each other, there was just car transporters rolling off the ferry every day.

J L were on 'Watchdog' a few weeks (maybe few months) ago regarding their 'never knowingly undersold' promise.

They were being undersold, they were informed about this.

I cannot remember if it was that they would not match, or refund the difference of price, until watchdog got involved.

In honesty, I cannot remember the outcome either, but I guess it wouldn't have been shown if they were doing everything they promise to do.
