SE Sport stock.

Featured Replies

I'll be heading into the dealers next week to hopefully get a new SE Sport in Race blue. Anyone have any idea will there be be any in stock? I can't get in until Friday.

We must be getting near production switch to the face lift model.

I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't many current models left now.

Also lots of people are rushing to buy cars in the UK with low road tax before the £140 flat rate comes in April 1st.

But let us know.

If your flexible on colour and spec you should be able to get one.

Gotta love people rushing to buy new cars that'll lose thousands in depreciation just to save a few hundred quid in VED. Solid maths right there.

When I was ordering mine nearly 3 months ago there was no race blue stock so had to order and wait for one from the factory.

I was lucky there was one ready to get shipped to the UK in race blue so paid my deposit on the 10th December and got it on Christmas eve.

Roll on when the Tesla Model 3 comes out! A more affordable but actually decent EV car!

There is pre-built Race Blue SE Sport DSG estate with a few extras on it at one of the ports, or at least there was two weeks ago when I enquired as to what was available.

As per Dunc69 suggest, your dealers can search stock. Another path, is to go to the https://cars.briskoda.net mini site, pik the car colour etc, get a price, then call the dealer, they can search and you already have a discounted price to kick of the chat.

if you're after certain accessory options then this might restrict your search. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.

Colin.

I picked up my SE Sport (Race Blue) on Friday and traded in a Fabia Estate SE L (110PS) and am very happy so far.

The upgrade in power is not too obvious until you look at the speedo, I think this is due to better sound proofing, harder suspension and a steadier power delivery curve. The Fabia only felt really fast about 4000RPM whilst the Octavia feels fairly steady from 2500-5000RPM. I've not really given it full tilt yet as it's been a bit wet.

The torque is falling pretty rapidly after 4k rpm so there is not much to be gained by revving its heart out.

That's why the peak power is a relatively low 140/150 hp depending on version.

Just placed an order for my SE Sport estate! Buzzing to say the least! Wether they showed me everything left or just a cross section, but they only showed me 4 petrol of which one was race blue, sport pack, sunset glass and lots of pounds, red with spare tyre, silver with spare tyre and a grey with pano roof and some other bits.

Just back from the dealers. No problem at all with stock. I asked for 1.4 TSI Manual hatchback SE Sport in race blue, they had one in stock. Got a great deal and delivered in three weeks. Very happy and and excited  :D .

Just to up date. No car yet. The dealer said, when i ordered it, it would be within three weeks. I heard nothing from them since I was in with them on 20th of January. I phoned them on Friday, just gone, as it was three weeks exactly since ordering. They said they have no idea when the car will be delivered and will phone me when it comes in.

Not great service, 'no idea' why dont they check its status on the system?

It will be either still at Emden, on the boat, in the UK, or waiting for a transporter...

I'd reply in a similar way whe they call to ask you to collect it, 'sorry I have no idea when I can come in'....lol

Pretty poor that. I was told 3 weeks but it turned up in two. I did chase at 2 weeks to ask if it could be sped up but turned out it was nearly here.

I had an Audi A5 try and undertake me exiting an island to a dual carriageway the other day, he got a shock when I pulled away from him. He didn't catch me up until I gave up at errr. 70ishMPH (+/-30) :).

I was truly surprised how much grunt the 1.4 has. It feels a bit slower sometimes than my 110PS Fabia Estate did but I think it may be better ride, quieter as well as longer gear ratios. However when I look at the dashboard it's always faster than it feels.
