Juddering Wipers-again

Featured Replies

For thirty years or more I've cured juddering wipers with the trick of wrapping the blade in an old towel and by gripping tight twisting the whole blade so that it "flips" on each change of direction.  It is the failure to "flip" that causes judder.

The blades on my Rapid are twist proof,  No matter how hard I try I cannot get them to "flip" and looking at them it seems to me that they are not designed to do so..  Only the thin rubber on the very edge has any give in it at all to let it "flip".  Perhaps only the very thin edge rubber is supposed to flip.

Please does anyone have any experience of these strong weapons grade wipers?

Many thanks.

Do the wiper arms twist?

I mean can they be adjusted, it worked ok my MX5 wiper arms when they juddered?
