DSG is very nice but many say it is better suited to VAG's petrol engines. I moved from a 3-Series auto to an Octavia manual, and to be honnest I only miss the auto when stuck in traffic. If you spend a lot of time stuck in traffic then DSG can be a godsend. Also, people who purchase big SUV's tend to favour autos so it may improve residuals, thus reducing PCP and PCH costs for the optional extra.
