So exactly 3yrs and 1 month since I picked up the Octy, I officially started the short countdown to the goodbye. Short as in 2 days

 

Ive been forced into purchasing something which costs less to insure though. But not to worry, I'm sure I will survive.

For those that hadnt worked it out, I mentioned the insurance for a reason. Reason being you wouldnt expect the insurance to be less.

But unexpectedly so...

 

When I went from a six year old 1.9pd Octavia to a then brand new 1.4tsi (at least 3 seconds faster to 100kph and obviously with higher valuation) my insurance premium was noticeably less and that was unexpected.
