Superb and Octavia color difference

Featured Replies

Hi!

Does anyone know are the colors for Superb the same as there are for Octavia (not model 2017 but "current" model)? I am considering buying Superb in capuccino and could only see one Octavia at the dealers. All in all I would like to know is capucciono Octavia the same as capuccino Superb or are there some different nuances.

I am asking because capuccino Passat and capuccino Octavia are quite different.

I have cappuccino. It is the same paint code across all the Škoda models so will be exactly the same as the Octavia.

Like most of the paints Škoda use, the colour perception can vary according to the ambient light, which with cappuccino I've found to appear almost silver-grey on a miserable dull day and light gold on a bright sunny summer day. The latter really makes the car stand out when the sunlight turns the heated windscreen gold too.

Different brands (VW, Škoda etc) use different paint codes despite sharing colour names, but as Alex has correctly said above for each brand the paint code does not change through any of its models.

The only other thing to be careful of is some colours will look differently on different models, the Octavia and Superb however are a very similar shape however so you should be fine, but a colour that looks great on say a Yeti may look pants on a Superb etc.

Thx guys.

No capuccino Superb was possible to check at my dealer, only Octavia and Passat, that is why I'm asking. I liked the Passat color and not so much Octavia. But I saw Superb MKII in cappuccino and it looked very nice, but my dealer said MKII and MKIII colors are different. So I still don't know what to expect on Superb.

Your dealer is wrong - but from what I've read in other posts that doesn't come as any surprise.

Škoda still use the exact same Cappuccino paint code now that they introduced in 2007 when it replaced Sahara so the Superb II you saw would be the same paint colour as is currently used.

Colour is a personal choice so you need to make up your own mind. I never even saw a Superb III when I ordered mine, let alone one in the colour of my choice. I was looking to get Lava/Petrol Blue but on a dull day at the dealership there was a Petrol Blue Octavia parked next to a Cappuccino Fabia - one looked drab and the other looked bright, so I changed my choice on the spot.

Decided and ordered cappuccino with beige interior. Delivery is due in the last week of March :)
