Just on my 5 miles to work I get about 32mpg

if I go on a run I can see approaching 40

Not too dissimilar to what I was getting in the Fabia.

Done some nice mods to the Octy now.

19” BBS Alloys with Rainsport 3’s, Lowered on H&R springs, black grill and black badges, LED number plate lights off an Audi, all interior LED’s etc.

Holding off on the power upgrades for now (but it’s hard to resist as £400 gets you to 300bhp)

Just fitted my new sunstrip a few moments ago. Added a bit of pinstriping as i had a load left over from when i did the rest of the car

Im not too sure about the placement of the pinstripe on the out side, i think it might look better about half an inch up from the bottom instead, like on the inside.

I have a couple of small skoda logos on the way that are 80mm long to put on the left side both inside and outside

What size sun strip did you end up going for? Looks awesome

Next job was to sort out the Aux cable.

I hate seeing cables trailing everywhere, so I lifted up the rubber mat in the cup holder, drilled a small hole and fed the cable behind the console and up through the hole. Then I made a small hole in the rubber mat, stretched it with some pliers and fed the cable through. That way when the rubber constricted it stops the cable moving on its own and is virtually invisible.

And with mat in situ

Then i bought a Belkin Cup holder Phone mount (as they will take my iPhone 7+ OK) and fed the wire through the little hole in it

And when the phone is sat in it, the only wire you see is a bit out the Aux port and a bit going in to the phone.

My OCD side is comfortable with that.

Sorry to drag up an old post.

I have this phone holder and when i get my car i will be doing the same, did you have to drill the cup holder or just the rubber mat?

Was it easy enough to run the cable behind the trims etc

Thanks
