I am using a Nextbase 312 dashcam which seems fine except for one small issue. On switching on (when the ignition is turned on) it displays the cameras view of the road, then after a period of time it switches to a grey screen, which is fine except that at night it is quite bright and distracting. Does anyone know what setting to change , if any, to prevent this as after trying to RTFM I am still at a loss.

Is there an option under screensaver?

I've got 2 Nexbase 402G Professional models.  On those when the initial display switches off the screens both go totally black.  I can't help with your particular model but the reason for this post is to advise you to give Nextbase a ring.  I've rung them a couple of times and I've always got straight through to someone who knows exactly what he's talking about and answered my questions.

 

I will say is I have found them to be an excellent product with a brilliant HD picture.
