DSG fill for life?

Thanks again .. I just got home to look through my servicing manual and its got no mention at all about the DSG service. So annoying ... I'll accept the 60,000 km upper limit anyway.

I can take a photo of the page in my skoda service booklet which refers to 60k KM, but it sounds like it may be importer specific (although mine is in km so clearly europe based)...

If it's not too much trouble, please!

I think you are right in that different importers include different information in the booklets ... and in my case, for Australia, the less information we are given, the better it is for Skoda to deny potential claims lol

Here it is.

If only that information was the same in my manual !

Mine has the brake information (after 3 years then every 2 years thereafter) but not the DDG oil change info. Useless!

That helps a bunch. Thank you very much!

I had a quick look at the Oz Skoda site. It seems there is no mention of DSG servicing anywhere!  Even on their servicing pricing it only adds extras for pollen filter and brake fluid periodically if required. What about DSG servicing, Spark plugs, Air Filter, Aircon regas. No fixed prices listed for maintenance items like new rotors and pads either.

They can't ignore the 60k KM service requirement.  As far as I'm aware it is the same worldwide. The DQ250 needs oil changes, for one thing it is a wet submerged clutch so as the clutch wears, the debris is immersed in the DSG fluid. Hence periodic changes. There may be other reasons too.

I know for a fact that the Aussie dealers (as do all dealers the world over) have this information on their systems but judging by the knowledge that these buffoons have, I wouldn't count on them giving you the right advice as to what needs to be changed and when i.e. they ended up wanting to change my brake fluids after 2 years as opposed to after the first 3 year period as stated in the service book and this is clear as day.

Its 40,000 miles and cost me £175 from my local Skoda Dealer.
