Toe in degrees

Featured Replies

I am on a role learning more about my Fabia from you guys so thought i would ask another that has been bugging me.  Back in November I had the tyres replaced at National Tyre and Autocare.  They phoned me midway through the day to say that the wheels where not aligned and were all out by 1 degree.  I agreed to have them all "straightened" to 0" for a small cost believing this the right thing to do.  Well now i wonder if maybe it wasn't.  Since then my fuel consumption just isn't as good and this is despite slightly better rated tyres.  So do any of you know whether the Fabia 105 diesel should have any toe in on the front and rear wheels or whether it really was off as they say?  That's if they did anything at all!

Looking at my official Skoda tracking report for a 1.2tsi fabia estate.

For Target Data

Front total toe +0°10'

Rear total toe +0°21'

So near enough zero. Rear is not adjustable

Doubt they were out by one degree. Go elsewhere e.g. kwikfit or f1 autocentres who have laser gear, and ask for a free alignment check.
