New Yeti DRIVE model spec

Featured Replies

Thought I'd post this up as there seems to be little info on the Drive models.

I've got my Yeti drive ordered,  and I've got the info right here as photocopied by our dealer.

Specification.

SE Drive (over previous SE)

17inch Matterhorn alloy wheels

Amundsen navigation with DAB

Auto dim rear view mirror

Heated windscreen

Light and rain assist

Floor Mats

Heated Front Seats

Front and rear parking sensors

New fabric upholstery and dash inserts

SE L Drive Model (over previous SEL)

Amundsen navigation with DAB

Heated windscreen.

The bumph says:

The drive model builds on rhe impressive specification of the current SE and SE L trims with further enhancements including Amundsen  navigation,  heated windscreen and front and rear parking sensors.

Both models offer fantastic value for money.  The SE drive has enhancements worth £2295 but will cost customers just £935 more than the standard SE version,  while the SE L Drive has additional spec worth £1850 but is offered for only £755 more than the SE L.  Customers therefore save £1360 and £1095 on the SE Drive and SE L Drive respectively.

That's what I have.  Hope it helps.  Really looking forward to seeing our beastie when it arrives, but we feel we've got ourselves a very good package for the money. And we REALLY don't like the shape of the 2017 Yeti AT ALL.

It's just another boring SUV.

According to Skoda Customer Service the SEL Drive also includes LED Rear Lights

I guess none of us are going to know for sure until it is delivered!!

Thanks

Thanks to the OP, I have been  trying to find the Drive spec for over a week. I live equidistant between two dealers, so I popped into one last week, the salesman was just about to see a customer and said he had only just got the specs so gave me a quick run verbal down and said he Email me them. I got home to an email but I was unable to open the attachment as I didn't have the VW Group password. I sent him a reply telling him this, and after no response, another. I'm still waiting.

I sent Skoda GB an Email, and got two automated answers stating 48hrs response time, after three days I sent another Email, I have just received this reply:

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding the ŠKODA Yeti.  I apologise for the delay in my response.
Unfortunately, the Yeti has ceased production; this is because the Yeti is going thought a change and the All New Yeti will be available next year.  You can speak to your local ŠKODA  Retailer, who can check if we have any Yeti's in stock, and will be able to check the specification of that vehicle.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0333 003 7504.
Thank you for contacting ŠKODA UK.

Kind regards

And yet last night I sent an Email to my other local dealer, Simpsons, Preston and this morning got:

Yeti DRIVE spec..PNG

Interesting reply from Skoda(UK). On that basis there will be no Yeti's available until 2018, at least one year away. Strange marketing policy.

Huh.  But that in itself seems to be policy :speechless:

I emailed Skoda's reply to Simpsons, and it makes no sense to them, but it does actually say

"this is because the Yeti is going thought a change"

So maybe it isn't an actual change to the Yeti, just a thought of one,

or it's going through THE change, but I never considered my car to be menopausal......

or Skoda UK are clueless?

Just received an E-mail from Skoda about Big Announcement on the 4th February. New Yeti?

Mini have done this with several models recently, though normally only a 6-month gap between models.  It ensures the outgoing model sells well to the end and the new model has a running start.

The configurator shows the Matterhorn wheels as £300 optional extra, but it might be wrong.

It occurs to me that the SE drive makes the SE technology model obsolete as that has less but costs more.  I suspect the normal SE, SEL and SE tech are therefore going

Out of interest I phoned Skoda Customer Service today and they said the SE L Drive was still available for factory order. This was after they went and checked with another department and called me back.

Sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing at Skoda GB!

Just been told by a dealer on Car Wow that they are taking no further orders for new builds. Rang Bristol St at Chesterfield and they say they have no knowledge of this and indeed took a new build order this morning! I find it incredible that they should introduce the"Drive" model one month and cease taking orders the next! Anyone know what is happening?

I was told that they have stopped taking orders on all models except for the drive versions now.

That makes far more sense!

Popped to the dealers today to give them the wifes plate that is on retention armed with the drive spec to make sure mine was coming with what it should. Lets have a look she said - it's round the back! All seems fine as per the list published above. Picking it up next week!!

Was lucky to drop on a dealer stock one. Lets hope Skoda do get their act together on this as I am sure there are a lot of people who want to get on of last unique ones before the eurobox suv shape takes over!

So they're consistent then!

This afternoons latest Email reply from Skoda UK.

"Unfortunately, the Yeti has now ceased production; your local Retailers will still be able to assist in locating a vehicle from existing stock.  I would recommend speaking to your local ŠKODA Retailer, who can check if we have any Yeti models in stock with the specifications you are looking for.  Contact details for your local ŠKODA Retailer can be found via the link below:"

Baffling.

Sad if correct.

People will need to get a move on and get one from stock then.

Still strange to withdraw "new" Drive models just a month after launching them. Is there a definitive answer to this as so far responses from Skoda have been confusing to say the least!

I agree, as worded it suggests all Yetis,  I wonder if they meant all except Drive models, but lashed up the grammar.   If it is correct then it's presumably stock models only.

I thought the Yeti was made at about 4 or 5 sites worldwide, have they all ceased and moved onto other models.

Maybe the Kodiaq orders are so high, they need the factory capacity.  There remains the rumours of a Fabia scout soon, and a Skoda badged version of new small Seat Arona which is due end of 2017.

Phew... glad I landed on a SE L Drive in stock then!

Maybe the new Yeti will be out sooner than expected. Or they could just be going all hands to the pump on the Kodiacs.

Could the shutdown affecting the Pug 3008, due to the fire at the Czech components factory which supplies seats and trim, be bringing a premature end to the series?.

It does seem premature to be ceasing production.

From a completely selfish point of view it does take away the temptation to have another before Yeti II sees the light of day!

It might be a blessing, giving more time for a more considered and orderly transfer to the new model, ......perhaps feeel more confident of buying an early one?.
