My coming home lights are enabled for 15s, however when I drive home with my lights on and turn the car off the lights then turn off. When I open the door and lock the car they then come back on for the 15s. The fact they turn off and back on again is bugging me.

 

Is there a way to keep them on after the car is switched off?

All depends on your personal circumstances/habits, I suppose.  Me, personally, I'm quite glad they go off as I often find I'm sat on the drive finishing off a phone conversation for longer than I thought.  Would you really want to have the headlights on another 15-30 minutes after you turn the car "off"?

Yes that is something I may not have thought about. Although that is prob a rare occurrence for me! Normally its ignition off and out of the car in 5 seconds.

 

I just think the immediate off and on of the lights would reduce its lifetime. 

You can change the behaviour using VCDS or OBDeleven.  

Do the lights have to be in Auto for  the CH/LH lights to work correctley ?
