Yeah just out of warranty but has full Skoda service history so hoping they will at least sort it when I'm in for a service in May.

 

Next time I'm driving past I'll call in and chance my arm. Like you say, plenty of documented evidence and there seems to be a fix.

 

Tried Skoda UK but they just gave me a generic response and told me to call to a dealer.
