Disgusting...glad I drive a skoda

Featured Replies

Still don't think its got anything like the Scooby rep or "coolness".

Reason 3 is the most likely cause of aggravated vehicle taking. Armed robbers like the vRS apparently because it's as quick as police pursuit vehicles, and is a lot more anonymous than a bright blue Scoob with gold wheels.

Maybe its called having a sence of humour Paul, you tell me.

I do, which is why i didnt find it funny.

Perhaps I found it funny because it was aimed at you then. :)

Ah, so I must have done something to offend you then in that case? Cant remember what that is mind....

Maybe you are just a f**king t****r then.

It's horrendous. Ultimately it is only a car, but I hate the fact that some t*ssers will take something, especially violently, just because they want it.

When surprised by a gang of scallies, other than having SAS-esque awareness and a permanently cocked and drawn automatic shotgun that you're prepared to use, you're not going to have much chance of doing anything.

I've been surprised by the attention and postive comments my car has received -from my neighbours to colleagues to boy racers- which wasn't why I bought the car!

I'm healthily paranoid and try to be observant. If I've ever felt that someone is folllowing me I've done the 'U-turn at a roundabout' trick. Failing that, I'd drive to the cop shop and beep my horn outside. I always have a quick look around when I arrive home, at irregular hours. If I was concerned by anyone hanging about, I'd drive straight past. Wearing a hi-vis jacket on the commute probably makes me look more like plod though.... (not sure if that'a good or a bad thing)

Living in the outer Hebrides, as I do, ahem, I hope I'll be ok.

About 7 yrs ago a friend of my Mum's had his LDM WRX Scoobie stolen at gun point after some guys followe dhim nearly all the way home before forcing him to stop.

At the time he had the thought of saying "can I get my coat from the boot' date=' its very cold" and they allowed him to get his coat and bag from the boot before leaving him at the roadside with the previously stolen Citroen AX.

Still. At least he got his picture in The Sun [/quote']

If I was driving a Scoob and someone seemed to be following me (especialy in a sh*troen AX ffs!) i'd just plant the throttle and leave them for dust? good enough excuse for me to drive it like I stole it!!

I also wouldn't hesitate to run someone over if I felt seriously threatened, and indeed I have done. I would also drive my car head on into the first solid object I saw if someone tried to rob me while at work. (cab driver)
