Hello. Recently bought 2nd hand skoda Octavia RS 2013 premium model.

 

went to start the car and on turning key I got a warming message with error code but so quick I was unable to read and he car is completely dead. 

Key does not even lock car and lights in car do not work.

 

please assist as I'm stuck miles from home on a Sunday morning

Rough guess but sounds like the battery may be flat. Can you lock the door physically with the key on the passenger side (if RHD) or driver side if LHD?

 

Do you have any roadside assistance cover which you can call on to help? Or failing that a family member or friend who could come and help you out?

Can you get the bonnet open to use jump leads?

I managed to get roadside assistance to come and help. it turned ou tbeing a loose connection on the battery.
