I hate to ask this, but running it daily on A roads, what MPG could one expect to get without being harsh on the throttle?

Thanks for the kind words  - It's such a difficult car to price, as you can get "standard" VRS's fairly cheap nowadays and that's what most people will compare it to. In reality it's basically an edition 30 golf / Audi S3, with added extras, for about £4k less!

 

Real world mpg figures it's not dissimilar to the cars mentioned above. I do 5-10 miles a day in it and pottering around town the average is probably low 20's. On a motorway run though you will easily see high 30's.

It is difficult to price. I'm looking at Seat Leon Cupra R's, but this is a lot cheaper!

 

What mileage, and when was all the work carried out on the engine? When was the last cambelt/water pump change?

Engine work was done by jkm in December 2010 @ approx 50k, most recent cambelt and water pump was march 2015 @ approx 95k (now on 103). Ive got receipts for all the work done to backup.

Just to add I've been out in this car at brands hatch, it goes like stink and actually seemed pretty comfortable. 

 

Shame your not looking to sell on the summer as I'd swap my fabia for this.
