RS springs on non-RS

Featured Replies

Hi!

I have my17 octavia 4x4, and want lower my car. but not so much as H&R 40/40 kit.

One options is to install vRs coil springs, correct? anyone have correct part numbers for RS springs?

have been told that i need this springs:

 5Q0 411 105 HD
5Q0 511 115 AA

Can anyone confirm?

Any other option for lowering? max 30/30mm

Don't the vRS springs only drop -15mm over standard? Is the 4×4 (non Scout I assume) higher than a 'standard' Octavia to start with?

Plenty of guys on here lowering their vRS's, you should be able to get hold of their standard springs easy enough I assume, keep an eye on the classifieds. Unless of course they want to be able to revert before selling.

No it is only the Scout that is higher than standard and has different profile tyres. The normal non-Scout 4x4 is standard height, mine certainly is.

If you don't want to drop it by 30-40mm (I agree with you there) then the two choices are standard vRS springs (not sure of part number) or you may find some colovers that do that, although not many make them officially for the 4x4 some may fit like the KW V3 or street comfort

Eibach Pro-kit has less drop than the H&R but it is still 30mm or over

I am not entirely sure whether you would need springs specifically from the Diesel 4x4 vRS as I think the springs may be different on the 4x4 even though they both have multilink

What I would like to correct is the fact that many Octys seem to sit nose high on standard suspension, is all I would like to do is drop the front 10mm and be done with it

Don't know about the drop on those. Although it gives 30/20 for the normal 1.8 4x4 it gives the same drop for the vRS 4x4 which is around 15mm lower already.

Unless they make different springs for the vRS and the 1.8, then you may find the drop on the normal Octy is more like 45/35 like other springs

I would get clarification from KW before I went for them
