2010 1.9TDi 105bhp misfire?

Featured Replies

Okay, so i recently bought a used Superb(imported from UK). Currently driving it full time as a taxi since February last year with 120k miles, now with 157k on the clock. So problem started with what felt like a misfire, which was intermitant, then last month went into full time misfire mode. Engine check light on

Symtoms : Rough idle. Car shaking in neutral. Shaking through all gears. Lack of acceleration. ****ty MPG.

Brought to local indy, and replaced injector 4 with warrantied reconditioned one. No Change. Then replaces injector wiring loom. No change. Engine check light off. 300euro spent.

Brought to second indy, suggested buildup of carbon....replaced EGR with cleaned used one, de-carboned the turbo, engine check light off, injectors seemed fine, another injector loom fitted, as "new" on previously fitted looked second hand.. Mechanic test drove car, said it was okay, clutch goes. New clutch fitted. Full service done, all filter changed. 1500euro spent. No change.

So basically, I've spend roughy 1800euro, with car, not shaking as much, mpg a bit better, but really struggles in low to mid-range revs in all gears. White smoke billowing out.

Help needed....

Thanks for all the replies.

White smoke is a compression problem.

What codes were logged? Difficult to diagnose this sort of fault blind

Any strange noises from the engine? - If engine has had the wrong oil in the past cam lobes operating PD pump/injectors could be cream crackered
