front fog light operation

Featured Replies

Good morning all. Recently purchased mk1 Fabia VRS. Amongst a few other things I have noticed that the front fog lights are not working (rear seems to be ok). Also there is no indication on the dash that they should be working. Is there any way of telling that the front fog lights should be on, i.e a light on the dash?

Is there a separate fuse for front fogs compared to rear? is it likely that it is just both bulbs blown?

Many thanks

RTFM!

Seriously, it will show the symbol for the front fogs, and describe the position(s) of the fuse(s).

Fuses and bulbs are all documented here:

Fuse 65, 15 Amp is front fogs (only), there's a diagram in that link showing you where to find that one in the fuseholder at the end of the dash.

thanks for your responses. I checked the fuse as mentioned which was not present. When putting a fuse back in it is clear as to why it was removed.. the front fogs are always on, whether lights are witched on or not! So instead of fixing the fault, which I gather will be a new switch required, the previous owner decided to bodge a fix!
