Bluetooth module

Featured Replies

Hi I need a bit of advice....

my iPhone 6s won't connect to my 2009 elegance

the Bluetooth module code starts with 50

on reading posts on here I am aware I will need to upgrade my module

could someone point me in the right direction as to which one will work for me and when I do get one is there anything I will need to do to it to make it work?

I would go 3C8035730E. This is the latest all singing and dancing model.

Ive moved mine between 3 cars now.

It's got wi-fi for if you have an rSAP enabled phone.

+1 it's the one I use and it's great in rsap mode.

Cher folks much appreciated

How do you enable the phone to rasp???, and once done do you select premium in maxi set up??

It does it automatically on pairing, if your phone supports rsap, then a message will appear on your phone asking for sim access or something similar. If you approve this, it should connect to rsap automatically - barring any issues with your sim which is well documented (3 particularly and some EE from memory don't like 3C8035730 'D' and 'E' revisions in rsap mode).

The SIM access profile will use the cellular radio built in your car. My Dec. 12 model has this.

It works fine, however you should keep in mind that the radio in your car is almost certainly 2G/3G only. Thus, you will lose LTE data on your phone.

I think under phone settings in the MFD, you can change from premium to handsfree profile and this will disable the rSAP.

Since I have unlimited data with work and always listen to google play at the highest bit rate, I have disabled the rSAP and stuck with HFP, which is using A2DP. (Advanced audio distribution profile)

I wonder if it is possible to use one of the radio units from a newer model?

Though, since it is LTE, a 2nd antenna would be required.

I know the radio coming out for the 2018 model year will support carrier aggregation as well...so you'd have a pretty fast hotspot.
