Back for more advice.

 

The last couple of months my 11 reg vRS is rough as hell when started first and driven. The car literally shudders for about 5 minutes until it starts to warm up, after which it is fine.

It almost feels like a wheel is loose.

 

Any ideas?

Is this the same with colder and warmer months of year? Have you realised smoother start-up run in summer?

So it ended up been a cracked vacuum pipe which someone had superglued back on and wrapped insulating tape around.....

 

Got car serviced and when driving home the car went into limp mode. The mechanic found the cracked pipe when he had engine cover off and heard air escaping.

 

 

An easy fix in the end but it wouldn't of been the first thing I would of looked for unless I saw the insulation tape - at least there were some tell tale signs with the engine cover off.!
