Does the 7 Speed Wet Clutch DSG being fitted to the Kodiaq require oil changes at 40,000 miles.

As per title,

Will the 7 Speed Wet Clutch DSG require a 40,000 mile Oil / Filter Service?

If Skoda don't have an answer for you, why not contact an Audi Service Dept & ask them? They've been using the 7-speed in the new A4 & S3 for a while, so they should know....

Pathetic really in these days of being 'Green' and Variable Servicing, Euro 6 or even 6.5 Emissions, saving the world...

& yet Gearbox Fluid / Oil gets 'Disposed in an  environmentally friendly way.'  But not even at the same time as the 2nd Variable Service if it is done by the maximum Servicing on Miles / km covered.

So 2 Engine Oil & Filter Changes and then in for the DSG Servicing.   not 'Simply Clever' really.  Or economic, good earner for Main Dealers though.

I couldn't say I know 100%, but I believe they are a "sealed for life" unit.

I believe the Haldex oil needs changing every 20k and new filter at 40K, again, someone might correct me on that.

seems like there is a change of policy for the latest 7 spd DSG.  Is it a new design?

Dealership would love you on the Haldex Serving if you are going to be paying out every 20,000 miles,  but sorry no goldfish on the DSG servicing.

The gearbox is the DQ500 and from what I can gather it does still require a change every 40k miles just like the DQ250 6 speed.

I guess it uses similar multi-plate clutches that are cooled/lubricated with the same gearbox oil hence the need for frequent changes.
