Boot won't stay open Fabia 06 plate!

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me with this? On the day I had to use my car for work (and three times getting hit with it later!) my boot will not stay open and falls down. Is this repairable? Any idea of cost?

What like are the struts that hold it up

Let's cut to the chase here, you need to replace one or both of your boot lid support gas struts, there is no other possible explanation.

How difficult are these to fit? I'm no expert but I've hard it's not too tricky...

just pop off two clips from the boot lid side, they just pull off the ball joints and then the other end bolt on I think with 10mm maybe?

really easily and pretty self explanatory

No tools required, simply flat screwdriver the clips off and knock the strut knuckle off each end in the opposite direction to which it is fitted.

£17 each. Don't buy cheaper non Skoda ones, they are gash
