Vrs problems

Featured Replies

Hi all I'm having problems with my vrs pd170.car pulls like a train through to 120mph in 5th drop it to 6th and nothing happens revs and speed stays the same.I'm sure I should get more than 120mph out of it...

It is mapped and has egr/dpf delete.

Any ideas please.tia

Which race track was this on?

Aerodynamic forces are at work try dropping it to third ;)

We all know tubbytommy is joking, but just in case you don't, at 120mph, DO NOT DO IT. Would be a shame for waystep to take it literally eh.

Was on the normal tarmac track...little bit naughty but my mates 140bh diesel golf gt caught and past me at that. Was dissapointed...

Don't worry not going to drop it in 3rd at that speed. On the other hand problem solved when it goes bang

The pd170 vrs dosn,t have a very big top speed i was in one in germany and i think it would only just do 130mph and that had a superchips blue fin remap .

It's  ten year old pd diesel not a Ferrari.

I have the cr and it's slow as s***.

The vrs badge just means fancy bumpers and alloys it's no hot hatch.

Mate has a pd and he gets nigh on 140 out of his so they will do it

Oh when 120mph just isn't enough!! Those were the days.......

my old 2007 2.0 pd tdi would touch 138mph in 6th no problem and only had 148bhp, so some of problem there i think.

Ye some problem just can't find out what

It sounds like fueling issue. It usually is when it's running out of power. At a guess pump or injectors. A full scan might reveal the problem. It definately should be pulling more than that though.
