Number plate holders & Front parking sensors

Featured Replies

Any body have front parking fitted as standard & then fitted front number plate holders?

Do the holders interfere with the sensors at all?

I've got plate holders on my vrs and no problem with sensors

Thats what I like to hear,

I want to get some new plates, & prefer the look of plate holders rather than plates screwed or stuck on.

My dealer delivered the car without plate holders. The number plate is screwed directly on the bumper. He said they had had problems with the front assist suddenly stopping the car because of the plate holder interfering with the sensors. This is a scout, I don't know if it is different for regular/vrs octavias...

Pls picture. How does this look?

I have the VRS with Front Assist, plateholders and pressed metal plates - no problems whatsoever with interference or false alerts / false activations. Most plateholders have multiple holes to to ensure that they can be positioned correctly so that they do not block the radar field of view.

Just ordered some "Skoda Auto a.s. Mlada Boleslav" plate surrounds.

Pressed plates will follow!

As I said no problem with my number plate holders on my vrs and I've got front assist also had it on my 14 plate vrs with front assist no problem in 3 years

Pressed plates were £18 per pair.

Plate surrounds were from Ireland but worked out to be £30 per pair.
