Wheels 18" or 19" ?

Featured Replies

Thanks to Skoda customer support (not ) looks like I am having to foot the bill myself to get some anthracite/black diamond cut wheels to get the car I thought I had ordered !

So enough ranting, the point is it comes down to replacing the 19's with either the same size, or going down to 18's and buying new rubber (within a little works out the same price as buying 19's and swapping tyres over).

The 18's will give me a better ride quality, but I do have DCC spec'd so maybe that will negate it to some extent.

What would be your choice and why ?

I am staying with 18" but I did test Kodiaq with 19"/DCC and really I like how it drives. In comfort mode, the speed bumps were a joke.

19"s

i have them on my Superb c/w DCC and they are fine, not to mention they look much better as well IMO

(FWIW the SportLine has the option of 20" wheels)

Joke as in very smoothed out or joke as in very bumpy ?

@Gizmo68 I am not sure, but get the impression the Kodiaq might be stiffer than the S3 from reviews ...

I guess the other part of the equation, is will it be easier to sell rims alone, or rims with tyres  :wondering:

It absorbed very well.

The S3 is almost too soft when in comfort.

I don't know if there will ever be a too soft option for one of my regular routes :D

Mind you, I believe the S3 has 40 profile 19's, they are 50 on the Kodiaq, so that will help.

But 19's it is ... just have to decide which ones now !
