How can you tell if a car has had towbar prep?

 

I know its probably on the code sticker, but need some guidance on which code it is.

The firm that fitted my towbar fitted and coded a dedicated wiring loom at ~£120 in addition to the towbar hardware. Not cheap but turns off the rear parking sensors and turns on the towing stability when a trailer etc.  is plugged in. I think that loom may replace the wiring preparation you mention .
