Spoilers gone :P

Featured Replies

Got in my car, drove to my mums to see her for Mothers day, as im working Sunday. I get out of the car and my spoilers gone, leaving a pile of ugly tiger seal .... any ideas of how to remove this glue? And if anyone finds a VRS spolier down the M6 or M55 its mine !!!

If Tiger Seal is PU based then it will last longer than the projected lifespan of the solar system, there is a special remover but it doesn't work very well unless the layer is very thin, therefore you need to use a sharp blade to get the worst off before trying the remover, it will be tedious and messy.

I'd buy another spoiler and stick it over the top personally.

ye but its fcking thick, at least half a inch, so if i use the same amount again, not sure if it will sit without looking daft? will it melt, if i heat a blade?

It will soften, but it's dense plastic so I'd favour a hot-air gun to soften it while using a sharp blade, but it's a b4st4rd to remove, no two ways about it. I've sawn through it before using a hacksaw blade and used a sharp chisel, you could use a block plane to shave it down thinner, but nothing stays sharp for long trying to cut that stuff. It's indestructible.

Didn't you notice a sudden lack of down force at the rear when it detached? :)
