The car I own has a problem from when I bought it, it's a SKoda Octavia MK2 1.9 TDi 2005

The passenger side door lock isn't functioning as should.

It actually doesn't do anything at all.

The keys goes in all the way, it's able to turn left and right, so far so good.

But it doesn't lock or unlock the door.

I have tried to get the barrel out of the door, this by turning both the small the torx screws about 3,5 times round.

I've read that I have to keep the key in the lock, turn it, keep the handle all the way open, and then it would come out, well, it wont move in any direction.

Just can't get the barrel out.

The idea is to have a look at the barrel, as I have the idea that something must be wrong there.

Any one any idea how to solve this?

 

 

As simple as it sounds have you tried the spare key?
