Fabia 2016 suspension transit blocks left in

Featured Replies

Bought my Fabia Estate last March new. Disastrous experience with dealership from the start resulting in several complaints ranging from finance to missing dog guard which was there all the time!!  I obviously would never use them again and booked the car in for its first service at another excellent dealership where we also have bought a new Superb 4x4 Estate.  Imagine my horror when the technician told me I had been driving round for 6000 miles with 4 suspension transit blocks in place.  These should be routinely removed at the PDI prior to collection.  I have spoken to the dealership in question and am awaiting their response...I don't hold out a lot of hope.  I have also raised yet another complaint with Skoda UK.  Wasn't greatly impressed with them either last time.  I did think the suspension was hard but as I have never owned a Fabia before thought that was the way it drove. Has any one else had this happen and will any damage taken place?

many thanks

Wow, that was a bit silly/negligent of them, you could have asked to keep them and sell them on as "suspension stiffeners" on ebay, that would have worked out okay I'd reckon.

Edit:- seriously, I'd doubt if any damage would have been caused unless they limited the suspension movement so much that they caused a wheel to frequently up in the air, as they are intended to limit the suspension movement in transit in tightly packed transporters there will still be some freedom of movement when the car is out of the transporter - or serious damage would be occurring on cars being loaded and swopped between transporters and in the dealership's compound prior to deliver - though not an ideal situation.
