engine warning light ....

Featured Replies

There are no fault codes

 - When accelerating hardish over 30k then dropping off engine warning light flashes/ beeps. When driving normally and steady ie low boost there is no warning light. Car does feel a bit sluggish, feels like a boost leak, car drives normal and feels normal at motorway speeds, i went to Mexico and 70 -100 pulls fine and boost fine, no warning light. But slugish on take of low gears and warning light when off the gas. Ive checked all boost pipes no sign of any leak, no black smoke. My other thoughts are oil pick up or oil feed?

Possible sticking VNT causing it to be sluggish at lower RPM, does it feel like turbo lag?

Dont think its this, i guess it does feel like turbo lag but more like a lack of power all up the rev range i would say more like limp mode, but its not because 5/6th gear acceleration acts normal. Turbo is hybrid and only 10k miles old, think thats fine. Last time i checked the camshaft it looked quiet warn, but only just changed the timing belt ... maybe its the cam?

Maybe, whip off the cover and have a looksee.
