RNS 510 - Bluetooth Audio (right speakers only)

Featured Replies

I upgraded my bluetooth module in my 2nd gen Skoda Superb (2008) a few years ago due to inability to connect the handsfree - 3C8 035 730 D. Hands free works fine.

I've now got to the point where i want to stream Spotify to my car stereo via my Android phone and bluetooth.

I have this working without any issue however only the right speakers (front and rear) work. I've tried changing phone settings to "mono" audio however this has had no effect.

Any ideas on how to get audio from bluetooth sources to work on all in car speakers?

Was Bluetooth fitted from the factory?  If so the wiring loom does not have a wire to the left speakers from the module.  I remember adding two wires to a friend's car (from the plug at the BT to the quadlock for the stereo) to get around this.  I can't quite remember the wiring pins but if you google the issue you will find posts on various forums which will explain.

Car came with bluetooth, i simply upgraded it to a better module (under the driver seat) due to the existing module using an old bluetooth standard and hence not allowing a connection with a more modern phone. I'm guessing the issue is related to wires from the BT module to the speakers as I've exhausted all other possibilities and audio from other sources comes through all speakers.

Any points on how to add the extra wires? Or can i simply buy an updated cable that connects to the BT and destination for audio that has to the missing cables to that connect the left hand speakers when using bluetooth audio?

In your case I suspect it is a factory fitted loom and although you could buy a new one that deals with the issue, that is the expensive way forward.
