Dashboard light display

Featured Replies

After being given the new rapid spaceback as my new company car I found that when I put my side lights on when its too dark to drive with no lights on but to light to drive with main beam on I find the dashboard light doesn't come on making it hard to see the speedometer correctly is there a reason skoda did this as it didn't do it on my old skoda fabia greenline

Welcome to the forum! Is it the whole instrument cluster that is not lighting up?  Is the manual internal light adjuster (scrolling button on the dash) turned down by any chance?

If it's the same as the Yeti, and the needles are illuminated but not the dials, there is an ambient light sensor in the cluster, and it's giving you a gentle reminder to put your headlights on.

PS. If it's to dark to drive with no lights on, you should have your headlights on anyway and not be driving around with the " parking" lights
