I've asked about this before.

I've just bought twin tone horns from a fabia at my local scrapyard to fit to my car.

Car they were removed from was a pre-fl fabia comfort which is the same spec as my FL ambiente.

My car has a single tone plastic horn and the twin tones I have are the same horns but there are just two of them on a bracket.

Can I just joint the wires form both horns together and just connect them to the single plug on my car?

Or do i need to use relays etc.

I would have thought being from the same spec car the horn circuit would be able to handle one or two horns without additional wiring.

 

Anyone know the answer to this?

Looking at the wiring diagram for the horn in the Haynes manual it looks like the horn already goes through a relay in the electrical system control unit. I'd say you'd be fine to do as you said.

I will just go ahead and try it the worst that could happen is the fuse blows

Fitted them today and they work great

A bit of a fiddle getting the scotchlock connectors on and the new horns in place but its all done and seems to work fine

They sound like a proper horn should as opposed to the standard honk you get
