I am trying to connect my pid to my pc to use garmin fresh. 

I cannot get the pc to detect the pid even though the pid shows it is connected to a usb port. 

This happens on both pc,s I have. 

Any advice on how to make the pid detectable by a pc ? ( using windows)

 

What windows are you running? 

One of has windows 8 another windows 7. Both show on the pid as it being charged but not connecting to the PC in mtp mode. I need to find a way to make the pid realise it is not on charge but a removable drive. Android drivers are installed on PC but give error code 10 as the pid is not switched to a data mode . On my Kindle I can select either mtp or charging mode but cannot find any way in the pid menu to change this 

 

Have you tried switching the PID on before or while it is connected?
