Need help with bolero system on my 06 Octavia 2

Featured Replies

Today i bought a radio bolero 1Z0 035 156F for my 06 L&K Octavia 2 to replace the factory fitted audience system. I got the security code with the system and just plugged it in straight, it seems to work fine but there is no sound in the system, neither from cds, aux or radio. I tried several settings in car but no sound will come from anything.

I need guidance with all the steps i need to take to make it work perfectly on my car, i do not have any knowledge about coding or can gateway systems, neither do i think the skoda service centre people in my area will be knowing much.

It would be a great help if i could get help with the stuff i need to do to make it run perfectly on my car, Thanks in Advance.

Will probably need coding with VCDS to tell it you have the premium sound system installed.

I visted the skoda service centre today and they were unable to help me as they didn't know anything about coding.

I will probably need to find someone who is expert in skoda and vcds to do it for me which is kind of hard to find in india, can you please tell me about coding so i can explain it to the next guy i see?

As I understand it the Audience HU is usually part of an upgrade with the premium sound system which has an external amp under the passenger seat (Maybe drivers seat in India?). The amp needs a message from the HU to turn it on so the HU needs to know that it is connected to the amp so that it will send the necessary signal. You will need to hook VCDS up to the car and go into the programming for the radio module and find the tick box for premium sound system installed.
